Create button to clear all applied slicers in Power BI | Xyclos

Clear all active slicers in Power BI | Xyclos

Have you ever found yourself browsing a Power BI report with multiple slicers applied and wishing you could delete them all with a single click?

Power BI offers several ways to achieve this, and today we will explore a practical and efficient method: using buttons.

Create button to delete applied slicers

  1. Click on the page that has multiple slicers

  2. Then click on the Insert tab

  3. Click the Buttons icon

  4. Select Clear all slicers A rectangular button is displayed on the Canvas with the text: Clear all slices That's fine, you can leave it like this; but it takes up a lot of space and efficient use of space is essential to manage it with the best possible criteria, so we are going to configure this button so that it only displays an icon, what do you think?

  5. Click on the button we just created

  6. In the Format button panel:

    1. Expand Button Style

    2. Turn off the Text slider

    3. Activate the Icon slider

    4. Turn off the Border slider

    5. Resize shape

    6. Move the button to the most appropriate place within the Canvas

    7. Click outside the button

Test button to delete applied slicers

  1. Activate one or more selections in the Slicer Visuals

  2. Press the Ctrl key and click the button we just created Done, all selections applied on all Slicers on the page, are disabled. This button only works for the report page on which it was created.
